The 12 Steps of Scrapaholics Anonymous:

1. We admitted we were powerless over sb product, and that our spending had become unmanageable.

2. Came to believe that we could scrap 'from our stash' and regain our sanity.

3. Made a decision to turn our frequent shopper cards over to a trusted friend, as we understood that they would not use up our 'points' on themselves.

4. Made a searching and fearless inventory of our scrap room.

5. Admitted to God, to ourselves and another person the exact contents of our scrap room.

6. Were entirely ready to craft from our stash.

7. Asked trusted sb friends to remove our unwanted stash.

8. Made a list of all projects we had not finished and became
willing to complete or give away them all.

9. Completed all projects except when to do so would require that we buy more product.

10. Continued to take scrap room inventories, and when we started to cruise the web sales promptly admitted it.

11. Sought through crops and classes a conscious contact with our inner artist, knowing always that she can create without buying more STUFF.

12. Having had an awakening to the contents of our scrap room as a
result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to all of our
fellow scrapaholics and to practice re-purposing on all of our
projects.

2006 Race for the Cure

Registration is now open for this year's race in Saint Louis!
Missy has been the coordinator for the For Keeps Sake Team for the last 3 years! She has the local information posted on her April 24th post on her BLOG!

Join our team!
Want to have some fun? As a team we will meet on race day June 16th at 7:30 a.m. at FKS. We will carpool and enjoy a morning downtown. Afterwards we will return to FKS for donuts and a make n' take! You will create a mini book to enjoy your photos from the race. You simply register on line under our team name with our code. (details will follow) What if you don't want to attend the race but would like to be a part of our team? You have two options.

1. Register as a Sleep-in for a cure. $30 for a t-shirt mailed to your home. ($10 priority shipping) Mark Sleep-in when you register.
2. Register under our team name to walk. $20 and your shirt will be at the store on race day. (this does not commit you to walking, just allows me to pick up your shirt pre-race.)
In the past we have had several people that didn't go downtown but registered to donate and receive a Komen St. Louis Race for a Cure t-shirt. I will pick up the shirts in advance and all you do is stop by the store for your t-shirt and fun!

Every team member will also have a pink ribbon with their name on it hanging on the gazebo at the store. We look forward to covering the gazebo in pink. Hope you will join us!

Register on-line with your credit card BEFORE 12 noon on May 29.

Today's sharing . . .

. . . today was another busy, busy day at the store, new products galore, K and Company just amazing! So much new stuff I didn't even have a chance to see it all!
My little moment today was a young woman wearing a cute sweatshirt that said "Proud Mom of Triplets" of course I had to ask. She was a Proud Mom for sure, bringing out photos in a heartbeat. Three adorable 21 month old beings, two boys and a little girl. Just precious, there was another photo though, three little girls, as it turns out, her sister also had triplets six months after she had hers. Can you imagine those grandparents, in a matter of six months, two sets of triplets!! It just boggles the mind! Anyway, she was a sweet girl and it was her birthday, her hubby sent her out for a few hours on her own! Great gift for a busy Proud Mom of Triplets!!
That's all for now!

Just read this from Teresa McFayden's Blog

as we grow up, we learn that even the one
person that wasnt ever supposed
to let you down probably will. you will have
your heart broken probably more than once.
and its harder everytime. you
will break hearts too, so remember what it felt like when
yours was broken. youll fight with your best friend, you'll
blame a new love for things an old one did.
youll cry because time is passing
way.too.fast,
and youll eventually lose someone you love.
so, take toooo many pictures, ♥
laugh too much, and
love like youve never been hurt, because every 60
seconds you spend upset is another minute of happiness
that you'll never get back
