SCRAP ST Louis UPDATE

SCRAP ST Louis UPDATE from the For Keeps Sake BLOG As promised, we keep adding exciting opportunities to Scrap St. Louis (June 5-7, 2008). Some of you have indicated you'd love to see the projects you'll be creating. We can't show you yet because:

they're still in the works!

When we signed up our guest instructors (Lance Anderson - Rusty Pickle; Heidi Grace - Fiskars, Heidi Grace Designs; Tracey Niehues - K&Company; Danelle Johnson - Creative Imaginations; Joey Otlo - Bazzill; Missy Jaycox - 7 Gypsies), they promised to use the very newest product from the companies they represent and to do something that was a project - no pages. We want you to walk away with something absolutely amazing from each class - a WOW project.

With that in mind, all the companies represented above are coming out with their newest products in February 2008 - so everything is still a BIG SECRET and UNDER WRAPS. Once the buyers' shows are complete, they'll work on their projects and we'll be happy to give you sneak peeks.

In the meantime, what we can disclose is that Pink Paisley (a brand new paper company) has signed on with Scrap St. Louis. What does this mean for you?

  • in between classes
  • at lunch break
  • during your day time break

you may complete a make-and-take with the companies represented in the break room. In addition to locally owned stores like Ink Spot, Making Memories, Rock Paper Scissors and Scrapbook Factory, they'll be representatives from scrapbook manufacturers helping you to create make-and-takes with their latest products.

One more thing you've begged for . . .

you may now make payments for Scrap St. Louis.

Should you choose to make payments, your payments must be made by phone or in person @ For Keeps Sake Scrapbook (314) 487-8131. Minimum payment is $50 per person and may be made by cash, check or on your major credit card. Incremental payments may not be made on-line.

We are very excited to announce our 1st annual Scrap St. Louis. This event is hosted by For Keeps Sake Scrapbook with classes by nationally known designers.

Our 2008 event will take place at the Holiday Inn South County Center, just minutes from our (soon to be) 6500 square foot superstore!

This event will begin with a Welcome to St. Louis kick-off Thursday evening (June 5) and continue through Saturday night with our "Farewell Event".

The event fee is $385 per person which includes:

  • Meals: Thursday evening dinner; Friday & Saturday breakfast buffet; Friday & Saturday lunch; Saturday dinner.
  • All 6 workshops by well-known designers (one by each artist)
  • All activities during the event - and we have surprises in store for you!
  • Prizes & giveaways!
  • All classes include materials used in class. Just BYO basic supplies (and we'll give you a list once you register).
  • Each attendee gets the same fabulous experience!
  • No homework!
  • Finish your projects in class!
  • Stress free and fun, fun, fun!

Not included in event: Hotel room rates, hotel taxes and baggage handling.

Here's our line-up of instructors:

WOW! What a line-up! If you're a "local", you won't have to spend the night at the Holiday Inn South County Center. But for those of you "out of towners" or . . . if you just need a girls getaway, we have special rates arranged at the Holiday Inn South County Center just for this event.

We have room for just 300 people at this event. We will begin taking reservations on January 2, 2008. You may register by phone with a major credit card or in person with a check or credit card or on-line via our blog.

11/20/07: We keep adding to our already fabulous line-up:

  • Dude Designs will participate in Scrap St. Louis with make-and-takes you may complete during your "break".
  • Tammy Tutterow is up to something wonderful @ Scrap St. Louis!
  • Kara Ward from K&Company will be doing make-and-takes at Scrap St. Louis during your "break".

12/24/07:

Local independently owned stores will be joining us periodically throughout Scrap St. Louis so that you may take a look at their creativity and join them for complimentary make-and-takes. Those stores are:

The Ink Spot

Making Memories

Rock Paper Scissors

Scrapbook Factory

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Scrap St. Louis will not be held responsible for hotel or travel cancellations.

We will accept payment by:

This is sideways but if you tilt your head just right . . . this is one of my favorite projects from Holiday Hideaway!! We created this awesome pin from an ordinary domino, mica, alcohol inks. My favorite part was the tiny little wire bird nest! Too adorable! The frame is a mini collage with a button to hold the pin when you are not wearing it!! So cool!!
